National Science Day is celebrated on February 28th every year in India to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman in 1928 with the theme: "Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat", focusing on promoting public appreciation for science, technology and innovation in india.
