The Annual Sports Meet 2025-26 Opening Ceremony is set to take place on 24th January 2025 (Friday) and will begin with the lineup of teams for the March Past, a moment that reflects discipline, coordination, and team spirit. Once all teams are in position, the March Past will commence, officially marking the start of the grand event.
The ceremony will begin with a prayer led by the school choir, setting a positive and encouraging tone for the day. Following the prayer, Ms. Pooja Sudhakaran, Chairman of the Student Union, will deliver the welcome address, extending greetings to the esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and participants.
Dr. Jothi MPV, the Principal of Jaybees Training College, will then take the stage for the presidential address, emphasizing the role of sports in education, personal growth, and overall well-being.
The chief guest, Mr. Vinod C P, a Retired Honorary Captain, will address the gathering and officially declare the Athletic Meet open, symbolizing the commencement of various sporting events. He will also have the honor of performing the flag hoisting, a significant moment that represents unity, sportsmanship, and the competitive spirit of the participants.
Following this, Goutham Pramod KV, the Sports Captain, will lead the athletes in the oath-taking ceremony, pledging to uphold values of honesty, fairness, and dedication throughout the competitions.
As a gesture of appreciation and motivation, Dr. MV Vijayakumar, an Assistant Professor in Mathematics, will deliver a felicitation speech, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers, participants, and faculty members who have worked towards making the event a success.
Adding an artistic and cultural touch to the ceremony, a Wellness Dance performance will entertain and inspire the audience.
To conclude the opening ceremony, Goutham Pramod KV, the Sports Captain, will deliver the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizers for their presence and contributions to the event.
